Our Process

Personalised service

We are your end-to-end swimming pool project management team.

From compiling and submitting building consent on your behalf, through to excavation, custom pool build, plumbing, electrical, onsite fibreglassing and pool coping to fencing and landscaping, to the moment you are swimming – and beyond if you would like support with ongoing pool maintenance – you will not have to organise any other contractors.

We are here for the life of your pool build and always at the end of a call if you need help at any time.

  • Following your initial enquiry we will be in touch to arrange a phone consult with Anna to discuss your pool vision.

The key things we will chat about are:

    • How you plan to use your pool - is it a place for the kids to have fun, or are you looking to achieve exercise goals - or both!

    • What sort of design features are you looking for (i.e. beach areas, jets, lighting, waterfalls etc)

    • What is your project vision i.e. are you looking for a pool build only, or are you looking to engage us for the full poolscape project, or would you like us to work with your architect, landscape designer or builder? All are possible!

    • Any site or landscaping considerations we need to take into account (i.e. tricky access or a sloping site)

    • Project budget

Once we have a clearer view of your project we can provide you with indicative pricing and timeframes and you can then decide if you want to proceed further with your dream of owning a pool!

  • Owner and Project Manager Regan will then meet you at your property to discuss your building plans.

Regan is a builder and landscaper with more than 20 years combined experience and will be able to advise you on how to perfectly integrate your pool into your outdoor space cohesively, functionally and with design craftship.

Regan will discuss pool size, pool location and aspect, site access, and any potential engineering requirements.

He will also consult with you on requirements such as pool filtration and sanitation, cover, lighting, heating, water features, poolscape, fencing and any other features that will enable us to draw up an estimate for your entire project.

  • Once we have the details of your project we will then provide you with a comprehensive and detailed estimate.

This outlines exactly what is included in your pool project price.

We can also provide you with indicative pricing at this point for complete landscape work such as paving, decking, fencing, landscape design plans etc.

  • Ready to push go on your dream pool?!

Once the estimate is accepted, we will draw up a sales contract for signing along with deposit invoice. Once this is paid you will be locked into our workflow and the background work will commence on a finalised concept plan and consent application.

We will keep in regular contact as to our expected start date.

  • Once you are locked into our workflow, our New Pool Consultant Anna will be in touch to finalise any design choices that need to be made within the scope of the project, and to finalise details required for the consent application.

A full set of architectural plans, side elevation and site plan will be drawn up for your approval. This will provide you with a visual representation of your swimming pool, including pool steps, coping and location of fencing, along with a side elevation showing depth and a site plan showing the pool location on your property. We may require another site visit and meeting to discuss pool fencing before finalising these designs.

Once this is signed off we will then submit these files for consent.

It is important to note that these plans are basic concept plans suitable for council consent. Should you require a full set of landscape design files we are happy to work with your chosen landscape architect, or make a recommendation. This will be estimated for separately.

  • The consent application process is handled completely by our team.

Pool design, site plans, engineering plans, specifications and calculations will be completed as part of the application process.

Consent generally takes between 4 – 6 weeks to obtain from date of submission.

Once consent is granted, we will then be in touch to provide you with an estimated start date for your project.

On occasion some pools also require resource consent. We will discuss this with you upon finalising the design and provide you with an estimate for any additional fees.

  • This is when it starts to get really exciting!
